Four different materials were tested against an open flame torch 1- CozyPure Wool 2- Organic Cotton 3- Corn-Based PLA 4- Petroleum-Based Conventional Polyester. We purposely excluded Eric’s data analysis as to WHY certain fibers burn and others do not. Eliminating the data allows other kids to do this project and research to determine their conclusion. The “Organic Comfort Zone” team built a boat in 4 hours at the Willoughby Harbor Ducktape Regatta. We WON “Most Unique” and came in 2nd place for our heat. It stayed afloat and did pretty well.
